"Dandelion Angel" is a delicate and introspective piece from my recently created "Household" collection. This work, like the others in the series, focuses on purity and simplicity, using the soft, unglazed porcelain to convey a sense of untouched innocence. The pure white porcelain serves as a canvas, allowing the light to reflect off its unfinished surface, emphasizing the fragility and subtlety of the form.
The angel's presence is soft and ethereal, accentuated by gentle pastel hues of blue and yellow, which evoke a feeling of calm and serenity. These pastel tones—suggestive of the softest light—are strategically applied to highlight the angel's delicate features and to invoke a dream-like atmosphere.
The figure itself is immersed in deep inner contemplation, as though lost in thought or prayer. Her expression is serene and distant, embodying a quiet moment of reflection. This angel doesn’t communicate through grand gestures, but rather through her stillness, evoking a sense of peace and vulnerability. The gentle curve of her posture, paired with the soft colors, allows the viewer to connect with the piece on an emotional level, as though sharing a moment of quiet introspection.
"Dandelion Angel" is a reminder of the quiet beauty in stillness, the softness in contemplation, and the purity of thought. She evokes the fleeting nature of moments—like dandelion seeds carried on the wind—delicate, beautiful, and full of quiet potential.
